All particles can be lit...that's huge.
If I had to choose just one third party plugin to use in After Effects, I would choose Particular...I just can't miss this.
I try not to use third party plug-ins as much as I can because it costs and causes trouble when you create project file and share the file with multiple computers. (some computers might not have plug-ins you're using)
